The 4mm thick tile gives depth and three- dimensionality to your project. The tile is for the budget minded consumer who wants the project to look like big bucks when in fact the tile was a bargain. The 8mm version is very comparable to the 4mm; however it offers more depth and deeper, three dimensionality since it is twice as thick (8mm). The 8mm is still very affordable but the price point is a bit higher than the 4mm. Either tile is appropriate for use on walls, but for a floor you would want to buy the select for the enhanced durability that the greater thickness offers.
